Accessing your web hosting account
1. Using a web browser, go to your web site.
2. Add “/cpanel” (without the quotes) at the end of
the URL
(example: www.domainname.com/cpanel) and press enter.
3. Select ok on the security error popup. (This is a normal message
as all hosting accounts on the server share the same IP address
and security certificate)
4. Enter your hosting account username and password and select ok
to enter into your web site administration page.
How to FTP your files to your web hosting account
1. First, you will need to have a FTP program installed on your
computer. (Due to the variety of FTP programs available please refer
to the instructions provided by the FTP program you installed on
where to enter the site login information)
2. Enter your web site name into the hostname/address field. (Example:
domainname.com)
3. Enter your hosting account username and password in the appropriate
fields and press enter.
4. Your web site files are located in the Public_html folder.
Add & Remove Email Accounts
1. Access your web hosting account’s CPanel administration
menu.
2. Select the “mail” icon.
3. Select the “Add/Remove/Manage Accounts” option
4. In the Mail Account Maintenance window you see active email accounts
already created with options to the right for administrating each
email account.
5a. To add a new email account select “Add Account”,
enter email user and password, select the storage limit for that
email address and select create.
5b. To delete an email account select the “delete” option
to the right of the email account in the Mail Account Maintenance
window.
Add & Remove FTP accounts
1. Access your web hosting account’s CPanel administration
menu.
2. Select the “FTP Manager” icon.
3. Select the “FTP Accounts” option.
4. In the FTP Account Maintenance window you see active FTP accounts
already created with options to the right for administrating each
FTP account.
5a. To add a new FTP account select “Add Account”, enter
username and password, select the storage limit for that user and
select create.
5b. To delete an FTP account select the “delete” option
to the right of the FTP user account in the FTP Account Maintenance
window.
How to change your password
1. Access your web hosting account’s CPanel administration
menu.
2. Select the “Change Password” icon.
3. Enter your old password.
4. Enter your new password twice.
5. Select “Change your password now!” button.
How to move your current hosting to ETC
1. Contact ETC to purchase a hosting plan.
2. Log into your domain name account or call the company where the
domain name was purchased.
3. Change the name servers for the domain to:
Ns.databrook.net
Ns2.databrook.net
4. Save changes.
* If moving an existing web site, you will need a complete copy
of your web site files before changing name servers with your name
registrar.
